Restore access when a connection to a source system expires

Hoppa stays connected to SharePoint, Autodesk and Asite on your behalf, so you do not have to sign in every time. Occasionally a connection stops working, for example when the source system's sign-in expires or your password changes. When that happens, you reconnect once and carry on.

How to tell a connection has expired

  • On the Add data source page, the connector card shows Needs reconnection, and its button reads Reconnect & configure.
  • In a session's data source, the file browser is replaced by a message such as Microsoft SharePoint needs reconnecting, with a reason underneath.
Reason shown What it means
Your … session has expired. Sign in again to restore access. The sign-in Hoppa holds for you has expired or been revoked.
Your saved … password was rejected. Your Asite password has changed.
We couldn't find your saved … credentials. Hoppa no longer has your Asite details.
Your … connection needs renewing. The connection needs renewing for another reason.

Reconnect from a session

  1. Select Reconnect, followed by the connector name, for example Reconnect Microsoft SharePoint.
  2. For SharePoint or Autodesk, sign in on the provider's page and approve Hoppa's access. For Asite, enter your username and password in the dialog and select Reconnect.

Hoppa returns you to where you were and reloads the file browser.

Reconnect from the Add data source page

  1. Select the connector showing Needs reconnection.
  2. Select Reconnect & configure and sign in again.
  3. Back in the session, open Add data source again. The connector now shows Account connected. Select it and select Continue.

Manage connections from your account

You can see and manage all your connections in Account Settings, on the Apps tab. From there you can connect, reconnect or disconnect each app. See Account settings.

ProjectWise

ProjectWise access is managed for your organisation by the Hoppa team, so you cannot reconnect it yourself. See Connect ProjectWise.
