Analyse documents stored in Autodesk Forma, formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM 360
Connect Autodesk Forma to analyse documents in your Autodesk projects where they are stored. Autodesk Forma was formerly known as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and BIM 360, so use this connector for projects in either. Hoppa reads the files through your own Autodesk access, so you can only add files you are allowed to see.
Before you start
- You need permission to connect data sources. If the Autodesk Forma card shows a Pro Tier badge, connecting to external systems is not enabled for your account. Contact the Hoppa team.
- You need an Autodesk account with access to the projects you want to use.
Connect your account
You only need to do this once. Hoppa then stays connected until you disconnect or the connection expires.
- Open the session.
- In the sidebar, select + next to Data sources.
- Select Autodesk Forma. If it shows Requires sign-in, select Connect & configure.
- Sign in with your Autodesk account and approve Hoppa's access when Autodesk asks.
Autodesk returns you to the session, with the Autodesk source open. If your account is already connected, the card shows Account connected and the button reads Continue.
Select files and folders
The left-hand panel shows your Autodesk hubs. Hubs contain projects, and projects contain folders and files. Hubs cannot be ticked themselves.
- Open a hub, then open a project. Hoppa loads the whole project at once, so this can take a moment for large projects.
- Tick the files you want, or tick a folder to select every file inside it.
- Select Save.
Search, Expand all levels below, saving and removing files work the same way as for SharePoint. See Connect SharePoint.
As with SharePoint, files added to Autodesk after you save are not added to the session automatically.
